Redesigned the website for Sizzling House, a catering restaurant specializing in ramen and sizzling plate dishes. Focused on improving accessibility and enhancing visual appeal to create a more engaging and user-friendly online presence.

01. User Research

problem spaceThe current website struggles to represent the restaurant's offerings effectively, with users reporting issues in navigating and accessing key information like the menu and contact details. Feedback highlights poor organization, lack of details on the menu page, and low functionality and accessibility, making online reservations and browsing difficult.
02. Proposed Redesign Approach
  1. Enhanced Visual Appeal: Incorporate high-quality images, subtle illustrations, and a cohesive color palette to create an engaging and visually pleasing experience.
  2. Interactive Elements: Use JavaScript to add dynamic, interactive features like hover effects, scrolling animations, or movable elements to make the website more modern and lively.
  3. Prominent Logo Placement: Reposition the logo to a visible area, such as the top-left corner, to reinforce branding and improve navigation consistency.
  4. Categorized Menu Tabs: Separate menu tabs into clear categories (e.g., appetizers, mains, desserts) for easier access and better organization, ensuring users can quickly find what they need.
  5. Enhance accessibility: Mobile responsiveness, clear visual hierarchy, readable typography, alt text for images, and keyboard-friendly navigation.
